STEP 1
Measure the Overall Width and Height
Use a metal tape measure and record all measurements in millimetres.
Width: Measure horizontally across the area at the top, middle and bottom.
Height: Measure vertically at the left side, centre and right side.
Walls and worktops are not always perfectly straight, so use the smallest measurement when sending us your sizes.
For an initial quotation, approximate measurements are usually sufficient. Final measurements can be confirmed before manufacture.
Measurements to Provide
✓ Distance from the left or right edge
✓ Distance from the bottom edge
✓ Overall socket width
✓ Overall socket height
✓ Number of sockets and switches
✓ Clear photographs of the complete area
Important: Always measure to the centre of the socket unless we advise otherwise.
STEP 2
Measure Sockets and Cut-Outs
Mark the position of every socket, switch or cut-out required in the splashback.
Horizontal position: Measure from the nearest finished side edge to the centre of the socket or cut-out.
Vertical position: Measure from the bottom finished edge to the centre.
Also provide the overall width and height of each socket or cut-out. Measure each one separately where there are several fittings.
Clear photographs showing the complete wall and each fitting will help us check your measurements before providing a quotation.
STEP 3
Confirm the Shape, Colour and Finish
Tell us whether your splashback is a simple rectangle or requires shaped sections, notches or angled edges.
Colour: Provide the colour name, RAL reference or a photograph showing the shade you would like.
Finish: Let us know whether you require a plain colour, glitter, printed design, mirror or another specialist finish.
Edge details: Tell us which edges will remain visible so we can advise on the most suitable polished finish.
Include clear photographs of the complete installation area, including surrounding cupboards, worktops and appliances.
